For stays as of January 1, 2022, all residents in Colombia and non-residents who stay in the country for at least 60 consecutive days must pay the national sales tax (19%) to the accommodation during their stay. Travelers with a tourist visa are exempt from paying this tax. If a person subject to paying the tax and another exempt from the same share a room, the rate may be applied to the entire room.
